Mosaic tiles are made from a wide variety of materials. And while the material is often not a critical decision-making factor, it is good to know the materials used to create them. Common mosaic materials include stone, glass, ceramic, porcelain, and mixed materials.

The colour of the floor tiles should coordinate with the entire room as a whole. Choose light and bright colours to make small rooms feel brighter and larger than they actually are. The amount of natural light that enters the room will have an effect on whether the tiles need to reflect light which in turn makes the room feel larger.
